The essential nature of art is meant to portray the daily lives of the people in that culture. It shows what the people think is important, beautiful, and valid. It expresses the emotions that the artists feel, and it provides decoration through his medium. During the Renaissance, wealthy families would contract artists to create works of art as a financial investment and also as a way to flaunt their wealth. Today, wealthy families purchase works of art in a similar manner; as a financial investment and as a way to show off their wealth. The difference between the Renaissance era and today is that the medium has changed. Although art still takes the form of paintings, poetry, novels, music, film and television, a whole new medium of art had been created, yet the essentials of art still remain the same. During the fifteen century, many people believed themselves to be living in a new age, and that was when the Early Renaissance started. In Italy, the most priced artworks depicted the revival of Greek gods and goddesses. Artists in that era studied the natural world, anatomy and perspective in order to create the most famous masterpieces found in Europe today. Feminist literary criticism is an approach to literary criticism that is most concerned with the role of women within the context of literature. This includes how female characters are created and understood within any given text, in addition to the role of female authors and female readers. This paper shall focus on some of the theoretical concepts which have been contributed to the feminist literary discourse. It shall compare and contrast aspects of theory put forth by three prominent feminist critics, while also considering the arguments raised by three à ©criture feminine scholars. The feminist critics to be considered in this essay are Simone de Beauvoir, Elaine Showalter, Sandra Gilbert and Susan Gubar. The second approach to feminist literary cri ticism that Showalter describes, the woman as writer, does not rely upon this male understanding. What this approach relies upon for its focus of analysis is the role women themselves play in the creation and understanding of literature. The focus then is upon literature created by women themselves, and is not limited in its analysis to female characters because of this. Showalter describes this approach as â€Å"more self-contained and experimental, with connections to other modes of new feminist research† (147). One of the majour goals in literary criticism that the gynocritic approach aims for is the creation of a specialized language unique to the criticism of female created literature. The original definition of love is, a fiction; a falsehood, a love affair. A comparison of arranged marriages and marriages that are result of romance if one love another, usually the two engage in matrimony. Let me not to the marriage of true minds,(I will not interrupt true love between a couple) It’s a wedding scene in a soap opera. Many of us have best friends and although we might not declare that we love them, we do. Therefore I feel I should not let other people’s sins stand in the way of relationships in my life. Something to consider is the fact that Christ did not tell us that life on earth, as a Christian would be easy.
